This book is a translation of 37 sermons of Meister Eckhart (1260-1327; "Meister" is German for "Master," and Eckhart was his name); of course, as with Fox's translation of some of Thomas Aquinas's writings (Sheer Joy), there can be disputes about the accuracy of Fox's translation---or about the "selectivity" of Fox's quotations. At any rate, there is a lot more intervening commentary from Fox in this book, than actual sermonic content from Eckhart..
